General Description

As one of our superb team leaders/supervisors overseeing the full and part-time kitchen prep staff, your role is to prepare various food products, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed, arranging necessary supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, operating a variety of kitchen utensils and/or equipment for food product cooking, serving and storing. You also work with the kitchen prep staff and other support staff to receive and inventory food and beverage products. Scheduling staff is required. Flexibility in your responsibilities and willingness to perform all duties as required by management is imperative. Kitchen Supervisors will report directly to facility management.

  • Frequently immerse hands in water and water-diluted with cleaning chemicals and solutions
  • Must pass a criminal record background check
  • Minimum Requirement of WHMIS certification within 90 days
  • Minimum Requirement of Standard First Aid with CPR Level C & AED within 90 days
  • Minimum Requirement of Alberta Approved Food Safety Course Certificate within 90 days

  • Operate kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, slicing, assembling and other duties
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures of products
  • Receive and inventory food and beverage products and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and equipment
  • Understand and Implement Food and beverage transactions including preparation, merchandising, service and inventory
  • Assist with staff scheduling and planning
  • Support the team in all aspects of special events and birthday parties
  • Professionally address customer concerns and complaints
